The owners manual says the gas shocks should be replaced every year. This is my third year without doing so. Am I killing my actuator? I figured I'd replace them if the clutch in the actuator started activating which would tell me the springs are getting weak.

i've had some last over 3 years, you will be able to tell when they are weak and have no resistance
