My drive belt popped. I went to the dealer and bought a replacement belt. Tried putting it on this afternoon and it seems to be a bit short. Can't get it onto the pulleys. I checked the belt # I bought to the one in the manul and its correct. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Does anyone have any tips on getting the belt on the pulleys?
Im assuming the Z is pretty much the same as the SZ...
There are holes for the tow hitch. Put some heavy string or thin rope through one of the holes and around the idler pulley or arm and bring rope back out another hole. Use the holes that line up best. Pull on the rope and it should make getting the belt over the idler pulley much easier.
correctly done. that is the reason for the 1/2 square cut out to allow the breaker bar to pull back the idler. It does sound a little tight though.
