Does or has anyone used a Toro Groundsmaster 455D to mow overgrown fields? Looks like the deck is deep enough I am certain that this not the normal role they play but seems it would be quite a bit faster. So...with some real good flat blades would it cut say foot of fairly thick grass and weeds? If not what are some of the machines you have seen or use other than tractors. I would rather pull something like this knock out 10-20 acres than a tractor setup. What are your thoughts? Thanks everyone

Rough tough what ever, I have used my 455D, 4000D and 4100D to mow fields, waterways, along creeks, etc. Pretty hard on the machine if you let the grass get to far ahead of you but they will do it. You will need to be ready to give the machine more careful inspections and maintance than if you were mowing a golf course. Good luck!
