here are pics of a small patio we did.

P.S. We did not lay the pavers on the limestone fines, there was a half inch of screeded 2ns sand laid down as pavers went down, just didnt get to snap a pic of it.

The pit is there because they wanted a bird feeder in the patio but didnt want the seeds everywhere so i sunk down a 4x4 area4inches and put the feeder in there to help contain the seeds.

I see u used geotextile good, geogrid? Wow for such a short wall but hey that is call overbuild nothing wrong with it.
My concerns, where is the water going to drain to? Right under the patio?
The pattern doesn't flow many straight lines, the slope toward the drain try to make it smoother next time, I like the idea to contain bird seeds but what's gonna hold the mulch it seems its pretty high.
Just giving you my 2 cents and honestly that would have been better place for a raised patio since it seems there is no place to drain water

Im sure the customer loved it. even if you didn't raise it, can't you put in a 8 inch edging material on your crushed base and then have it sit 3 inches above the patio?

Should have told them to invest in a broom.

That catch basin will fill with wet seeds very quick so remind them to keep it clean

I guess moving that feeder 2ft to the right was totally out of the question.
