The weedeater runs well, but when I let go of the trigger it dies. Something simple?
something is not letting it run. thats all i can tell you.
May need the exhaust screen removed. Those are never keepers.

I don't think it would be the exhaust screen or exhaust port clogging because it would run poorly all the time just not when the trigger is let go.
Take the carb apart, clean it thoroughly, reset your adjustments to factory specs, then give it a try. That's what Matt would do.

TMC, it is a commercial whip and I will try the idle and let ya know how I make out.
