I am looking at purchasing a 48" Ryan 3pt aerator for my Kubota BX 2660. Before I spend the money I would like to hear from others that have this setup and if it works well.

I have pulled one of those. It did fine job on moist soil. But that only happens 25% of the time. I think that not having a place to put extra weight is a big negative. I also think that the frame on those things is too light.

The weight of the Ryan 48" aerator is listed at 670 lbs. It surprises me that you would need to add weight to it. Was this a Ryan that you used?

Yes it was a ryan with new tines. When the ground is dry any aerator has trouble penetrating the soil. That's when you want that extra weight.
