While mowing one of my accounts today all was going well until I went past a pole on my Stander and something hit the pole and came back at me. Of course it didn't hit me in the arm or face, went straight for the eye! Felt like someone hit me in the eye with a dumbbell. I even had my glasses on but they weren't safety glasses...left them at work in my locker. Last time I'll do that. Hard to finish mowing with one eye closed. Soo just a friendly reminder to everyone this spring to protect your eyes! Once there gone, there gone. Take care everyone!

I had debris crack the lenses on 2 sets of glasses over the last 10 years. never go out without them. I have the sunglasses type so i wear them pretty much all the time

Safety first, absolutely. I don't as much as get out of my truck without glasses on. It's hard on the 100+ degree days sometimes, but the glasses have saved my eyes dozens of times. Mostly from tree branches, not to mention debris flying when trimming and edging.

Wiped out a set of worktunes with a limb one time also, definitely saved my ear from being ripped off

I always keep dark and clear safety glasses in the truck. The best kind when your trimming are those goggle types that comes with all new stihl equipment.

I'm even considering getting a face shield for those bad trimming jobs. My eye still hurts. Safety glasses for now on for me!

Just cheap sun glasses for me, I tend to lose them often. I can't work without them, always something bouncing off trees around here.

In 10 years I've never once wore safety glasses. Can't stand 'em.

i wear stihl or husqvarna safety/sunglasses. it's so bright out there in the sun you need sunglasses anyways to see so might as well have them be safety glasses too.

last year i was mowing and a piece of wood shot out from under the front of the mower deck and hit the side of a house and hit me right in the eye. lucky i had my safety glasses on or i would be without an eye probably. it scratched the lens up bad so i had to toss that pair but at $10 a pair they are cheap to replace. you can't just throw a new eyeball in there if yours gets poked out.

i got hit in the face 2 times today. once in the cheek and once in the chin. not much safety glasses can do about that.
