Wondering if we are required to pay sales tax on new equipment/and general supplies we need for our euipment?

Somebody always pays sales tax. Either you or the customer.

In New York you do pay sales tax on equipment.

For supplies used for resale you can either pay the sales tax, and then take the credit when you file your sales tax. Or you can use a resale certificate and not pay the sales tax but collect it from the customer and send it in.

Thanks I know for supplies for resale, but if I were to buy a new mower or something, or like blades, plugs, or maintenance things for equipment.

The rule of thumb is that the end user pays the sales tax. In this case it would be you.
