Just wondering we dont have to collect sales tax.... Right?
Yes, in Texas we do collect sales tax.
Yes in AR we DO have to collect sales tax. Unless it is RESIDENTIAL lawn care ONLY exempt!
We collect in NJ.
In Kansas you only have to collect/pay sales tax on installation of goods (grass seed, shrubs, trees....etc.). I pay tax at the time on my purchase and just pass that on to the customer. It's called streamline bookeeping.
We collect in CT...
Anyone from Florida.....Know if we are supposed to collect
I do residential only..Is this exempt in Florida? Thanks..
No sales tax in Florida, However last year they tried to decrease the tax amount but increase the services to be taxed. If this was passed Lawn Care would have been taxed. I think we still have a few more years before this passes.
In Suffolk County, here on Long Island, unless you are 16 and only mowing a few neighbors, mowing and all other aspects of maintenance are considered a "service" and are therefore taxable.....
Tennessee- no sales tax on lawn mowing...yet. They are in the process of "punishing" us for not passing a state income tax this year,by raising sales tax, closing state parks a couple days a week, etc, and the polititians will get to us sooner or later.
