My lawn is in its 3rd year,it is not the best looking lawn but i try.i use all scotts product however there are lots of areas that are dirt.last year i put down top screened soil on the week areas and seeded and the grass grew well, but this summer the very same area has almost no grass,we had decent rain lately in Pa so water is good,my soil is very sandy like if i never put top soil last year and i see ant holes everywhere also. Can someone please recommend what steps or products i can use thank you.

Just start topdressing with compost like there's no tommorow.

Sandy soil can't support much Scotts, so you may have already been burning grass over the last 3 years. Doesn't sound like you have irrigation.

You can also topdress with a clay-based topsoil.
