    Please help.

    John Deere Z Turn - 54inch (Kawasaki) . . . 50 hours

    ___________________________________________________________

My husband is having a come apart.

    I MOW THE GRASS; 4 hours;

    Mowing routine:

*** double cut (cross cut) because the first stripe is always uneven but if I mow in the opposite direction the lawn comes out even

*** when I make my turns I CUT OFF BLADE

*** if I get grass on the driveway, I "blow it off" with the mower; backpack blower is too heavy

    ______________________________________________________________

    PROBLEM:
Today I ran out of gas, went to store, 91 octane, white smoke after I refueled and everytime I cut off mower and restarted.

Husband comes home . . . I turn off mower to say hello . . . I restart mower to park it in garage . . . white smoke . . . all hell breaks loose

"You have tore up my new lawn mower!!! How many times have I told you not to turn the blade off/on you have ruined the ____ . . . who uses a mower to blow off the driveway, you have ruined the _____ . . . you are placing too much wear / tear on the tires by doing that . . . see?!? you have tore up the mower now it's blowing white smoke!!!"

So have I indeed ruined his new mower ????

Lol, it's a Kawasaki, everyone I've ever used always smoked a bit when started. Check oil level.

So what about turning off/on the blade during turns? Am I ruining something? I can't remember the term he used? Drive Train???

What about blowing off the driveway???? Am I ruining whatever other part he said???

Let him mow the grass. If it breaks with him on then it's not your fault.

Why do you turn off the blades so much? And what kind of John Deere is it?

Sounds like husband is coming up with reasons to keep you off his new mower.

You should be able to turn without scalping.

You're kidding right? My wife has never touched the mower, she wouldn't know what 91 octane is. Tell hubby to take a chill pill and check the mower over or have it serviced. You might want to look over manual about turning the blades off frequently as that could wear out the clutch prematurely. Good luck.
