Hello all, I need help choosing between these 2 mowers as I'm in the market for a 36 WB. Plan on mostly side discharging with an occasional bagging if needed. I live in northern Indiana in case you were curious about grass type. Does anyone run either of these? Pro and cons of each? Any mowers I'm missing that should be in consideration? Any info would be appreciated

A couple of things sold me on the Ferris FW25 36" ,Kaw.FS600V 18.5 hp electric start and the ZT3100 hydros.Neither available on the Scag.I've run mine for a week now,it has a nice cut with mulch kit and high lifts.I considered the Exmark Turf Tracer 36"but only available with Kaw.FS481V recoil start.

No, I never side discharge too many fresh mulch beds etc.

Can't speak to Ferris as they are not here but the swzt is the best finish cut on any 36" machine I have ever seen . Nice enough for me to seek out and buy a SWZ for a rain mower. Nice stripping without wheel tracks dominating the yard.

FW 25 36" 19hp electric. Bigger Drive Tires, better and Smoother Hydros, Silky Smooth Controls.

    Best walk going.

cuts as one would eXpect a 36" mower w/mulch kit to cut. Can't comment on discharge.
