My parking brakes seem tloosen up after about 600 hrs. This seems to be a wear out item on the Turf Tigers. Is there a way I can adjust it or will I still have to take it to the dealer?

There is an adjustment rod on the emergency brake handle. Goto www.scag.com and get the manual for your TT, it will tell you the proper adjustments and measurement on the handle placement.

On the Tiger Cub the bolts that hold one end of the bands keeping shearing off. And they are hardened bolts:confused:

    Hello gents,

I have a 2016 scag 52" walk behind. I had a local small mechanic shop do some light maintenance on it. When we were loading it I noticed the parking brake wasn't holding the mower properly. The left tire would still roll with brake engaged. So they then got it fixed to where it holds both tires but my brake lever seems 50% spongier when pulling back to engage brake. Not sure why it lost its tension when all they did was minor maintenance and was nothing to do with the brake or hydraulic system. Probably should take it to my dealership I bought it from as it is under warranty. Just to make sure everything is right and tight. Anybody else ever have your parking brake go from feeling firm when setting to really spongy like this and what it possibly could be from?

Thank you gentlemen for any advice of info.

    Have a great weekend !
