Which would you buy? I need to cut grass on housing estates 16 a year. Looking for 6' zero turn with loads of power, speed and nice finish. Does the super m deck on Scag do a decent job?
Your thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thanks for looking :)

The sites I have to maintain are for a basic cut, no collection required. Currently we are using a Shibaura CM364 with 6'Muthing flail deck. Scag do a deck with a spiral teeth for rough cutting. I was wondering had any of ye had experience with same, apparently not by the looks of things. See the grass here is wet most of the time and I would need a high hp diesel mower, preferably zero turn to speed things up. So in your opinion is Scag a tough mower and are they easy to maintain or should I buy a Grasshopper for same reasons?

They both have similar style rotary decks, we can't get the M deck or true flail decks on ZTRs, wish we could. That being said the velocity deck is a great choice for bi-weekly slightly wet grass.

Well for us Americans we cant get the m deck on a scag so we wouldnt know what to tell you. The grasshoppers with the duramax deck up next to the velocity deck are about the same, granted ive never owned a grasshopper. I have 61" turf tiger and 48" tiger cub and love the cut. I have always wanted to get a grasshopper. Honestly i think the best thing you could do is test out both and go from there none of us can really compare anything to the M deck because its a flail. Hope this helped :waving:

The m deck isnt a scag deck. It is made by humus, and they make one to fit the turf tiger, only because the turf tiger is shaft driven instead of belt driven.

Go with the scag, there shouldnt even be a question here.
