A few weeks ago I demoed a Scag V-Ride 48" stand on mower from my dealer. When he told me to give it a try I said Sure, but I'm not gonna like it. I'm a red machine guy. lol All Toro and Exmark for me. Well I cannot say one bad thing about the machine! It had a beautiful cut and layed some awesome stripes. I put it through the paces, on all kinds of terrain. Nicely manicured lawns, weedy lawns, bumpy, hilly, you name it. I loved the way it dispersed the clippings. It chopped them up really fine and spread them very well leaving areas needing to be cut only once instead of double cut in some instances. I took it on hills and small slopes that my other mowers slipped down and it took them like a champ. Also I noticed on lawns that have some "pot holes" that other mowers always tend to scalp, I was purposely dropping the tires in there to test it out and absolutely no scalping. It had a very comfortable ride and I also loved that it had a fuel meter to let you know when you were getting low. At the moment I can't think of anything else, but please feel free to leave any comments or questions as I want any info possible, because I'm pretty sure I will be buying one. Does anyone have any experience with the 52" version?
