Hi I am a senior taking an economics class and I was given a project in which i have to start my own business. One of the options were lawn service, so I choose that. I was just wondering if anyone could provide me with some of the following information:

    -Profit Data
-Poblems/Difficulties faced by companies in the industry
    -General hours of operation
    -Days off,Vacation, etc.

All of your questions will be different for each of us on this site. If you do search for the things you are looking for you will find lots of stuff. Good luck with your project.
I'll tell you a little bit about what I know:
Problems/difficulties: One of the biggest problems in my opinion is people who don't have a license, insurance, etc. who mow lawns and pretend that they are a business. They have very little overhead, so they can charge much less than those of us who run a legal business.
Hours of operation: Usually 8:00am-6,7,8 at night. That all depends on how much work there is.
    Vacation: Only in the winter!

What do you have to work with. Did they give you some play money? Give us more information on the rules/outlines of your little project.

He probably wants to do his own homework, but unlike some of us he wasn't born with all the answers, so he's asking questions here.:dizzy:
