Sealing 4-Mix

    Does it matter what kind of gasket sealant I use?

    Hondabond is what we've always used when sealing the cases.

    I was thinking the red high temp stuff. I bet the black will work though that case can't get much hotter than engine valve cover.

    We use Dirko sealing compound. Never a problem

    Hondabond is the hot lick. Yamabond ( same chit ) works very well, Dirko is some good stuff, Personally I use Hylomar, I figure iffen it's good 'nuff fer Harley cases, it should work on stihl stuff. Any of the above are good choices, just don't go apechit with the application.
