Seed Spreader Setting

LawnSite Member
I have a Scotts Broadcast Spreader (Speedygreen 1000, push-type). It provides various settings for various seed types. However, I bought Pennington seed. Kentucky 31 Fescue. Of course it does not note setting to use with the Scotts Broadcast Spreader. Can anyone advise the setting I should use for proper application rate?

If you are overseeding, 5 lbs/1k is the normal rate. For new seeding 10lbs./1k is normal. You might be able to read some old fertilizer bags to find out what setting matches these rates.
