    Hi Guys,

I'm from Minnesota and it won't be long and we'll have snow on the ground. How many of you seed right before it snows? Do you use the same grass seed that you use in the summer or do you use some other seed for seeding before the snow?

I hope to try it again this fall and winter--seed in big flower pots: Just before and just after a big snow.
Last year had a warm winter so some seed germinated even when sown in December. Seed on top of snow in February--germinated about April 8th.

I look at seeding once I know that the blower won't be used anymore this season... the freeze/thaw cycles of winter/spring will plant the seed in the ground so I ONLY broadcast for Dormant Seeding... hence the no more blower requirement...

I do have some areas that I may put down some seed and 'stitch' it into the soil after this cleanup, then after a rain I should be free to blow again if necessary...

Last Spring was the best seeding success of the 2011 seeding season...
