I am wanting to overseed my lawn and a few customers in the next month or two. When would be the perfect time to do this?

All areas to be seeded are shady and I would like a fescue type grass. Bermuda will not grow in these areas. What seed would you recommend. I have searched but all the threads covering this are not in Oklahoma.

As you know it gets pretty hot here in the summer. My lawn and another is irrigated but there are some that are not. I need something tolerant to heat and fairly tolerant to drought.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Here are a few pics of the areas I am talking about. This area was seeded with annual rye and kentucky 31. I would like a mixture but don't know what to go with.

These pics were takena few months ago. With the heat the rye died and now the lawn looks terrible.

Also, how would you over seed this area?

i don't know about Oklahoma but i would aerate and then over seed with a tall fescue mix with that large area i would use a tow behind aerator and i would do it once it starts cooling down
