My is secure. What makes you think yours isn't?
I had a customer bring this to my attention today.. and others in the past have said they were not comfortable with my client portal.
When i go to the customer login i notice that at the log in screen at top left in the browser bar there is a yellow triangle, not a green padlock. It switches to the padlock after they log-in. I'm not to up to speed on internet security, but it just doesn't look good to me or my customers when the login isn't fully secure.
do you notice the same thing on your client portal login?
I'm borderline internet illiterate so hopefully some body can educate me here on this security thing.
I was of the understanding that as long as it is an https URL instead of http it was secure. I don't know. Maybe one of the whiz kids can help out.

Generally yes, an HTTPS is more secure than an HTTP but it is not a guarantee.
The yellow triangle means that the page is encrypted but there are some elements that are not secure (ie. pictures, third party links/advertisements, etc.)
On any service where you are sharing information about your business you should see a green padlock and https connection before logging in.
Oh no. Service auto pilot cusotmer support says its secured by godaddy.. so it must be so...
Hope so! lol. Just what the icons mean to the world. Ask em where the green padlock is?
oh it is! the secured by godaddy logo's are on the site.. so it must be secure.
How do you know its not secure? I dont know how to tell.
Jonothan runs his multimillion dollar business through this, it seems odd he would do that.
i don't know. it may be. I'm a bit confused. a customer today told me it wasn't.. then i noticed no green padlock. i kind of know what that means, but really need a geek to explain it to me.
it turns out the client portal is secure, its just has something to do with the company logo at the top left that isn't encrypted. So even though its secure, depending on what browser your using it may not appear that it is because of something to do with the logo on the login page. Some of my customers have noticed this and pass on paying online because in there mind its not secure enough. 5 customers this month. Gonna have to offer paypal as payments too which i didn't really want to do. You'd think it was something that can easily be fixed. I know it'd look a heck of alot better if the customer portal login had the credentials that show that it is fully secure. I figure they will get to it when they get to the chem tracking, or when monkeys start to fly out of my arse. I like this software, i like the features. Can't find anything for this price that does what it does. But man, some of the little stuff really gets to me now and again!
