Techny Mission Arborvitae
Shady and wet
I need a large evergreen for a shady,area that holds water for a while after a heavy rain. Not standing water, ground water. Any ideas?

Thuja occidentais 'Techny Mission' Arborvitae will grow to 12-15' high and 10-12' wide.

Your right that most Arbs. like full sun, but Techny Mission Arbs. take partial shade.Originally posted by dvmcmrhp52
But arbs don't like shade.
Consider a Hemlock if full shade, though they grow better in partial shade. They like a moist, well drained, acid soil.
