What size BOLT goes in the bottom shaft of a Kawasaki FB460V-MS14
to keep the pulley(s) on ?
Check yer PM's.....
Anyone know the shaft bolt size for a kaw fb460-fs08?
Trying to rebirth this old gravely but the bolt that holds the pulley on keeps sliding out due to vibration?¿
You are in good company. I lost the bolt when, I swapped the engine on out leaf vac....You want to look for a Nord-lock or serrated flange bolt. I did ended up finding it on top of the washing machine...after the impeller backed the bolt out twice!
Are close to a Mid-State bolt and screw?
M10 X 1.5
Yeah, if you want to take the easy way out
Thanks guys I'll try that.. I already tried the blue loctight but clearly it's not strong enough.. I was going to use red this time.. And the nord lock washer
Currently I have a 9/16 bolt in there and it's 3" to clear my pto.. with a regular thick flat washer so we'LL see
I don't use blue loctite on nuthin', it just aint up to snuff on most mower applications.
If ya need to use Locktite, use the RED chit. The only way to go.
It's kinda like Franks Hot Sauce..." I use that chit on everything "!
I gotta ask...how does a bolt " keep sliding out " ?????
Just as I figured, the hole Is def. stripped now. Of course right after I put a new trans and carb on this thing.. lol now I know why I picked it up so cheaply
Any more ideas? lol
Yeah, use a heli-coil.
