    I have a 1 year old Mini Z.

Did it come standard with High lift Blades ?

What is the best way to sharpen blades. Right now I pull it up on car ramps, crawl underneath and hand file as best I can. Not sure this the best way.

    Thanks in advance

It did not come standard with the highest lift blade we make.
The blades that come standard on the Mini Z have a 42 degree sail, there is a optional higher lift blade available it has a 55 degree sail.
For a 44" deck the std blade is part # 784256 and the hi-lift blade is part # 787739
For a 52" deck the std blade is part # 783753 and the hi-lift blade is part # 787721
I would still pull up on the ramps to access the mower blades, but I would remove them and sharpen them with a grinder, there are several ways and types of grinders to use, or I would take them to my dealer to have them sharpened, they have big $$$ in there sharpening tools.

Take them off and use a 4inch angle grinder with a 40 grit flap wheel disc. Works great and gives a smooth edge on the blade. Most dealers will charge you 1/2 the cost of new blades to sharpen. So you better learn to sharpen them yourself.
