Everyone hates on Echo, but I love my weed whacker.
Red Max or Stihl are two pricier but great options. Redmax makes the best back pack blowers out there.
everyone hates on echo for good reason
Echo owns and handles some of the final assembly but engines and most other components of the Shindy are still made by Yamabiko in jAPAN.
Correct however Echo applied for got addition time to meet the governments mandate for 4 mix/4 stroke emission requirements
at the end of the day It's a toss up to many variables mechanical aptitude, maintenance, etc etc
Yes if people would do some research and check they would find that Echo, Shindaiwa and Kioritz are all owned and are subsidiary's of the Yamabiko Corp/group out of Tokyo Japan and Stihl has nothing to do with Echo.
