I have a couple 261x shindaiwa weedeaters that have lost power and when you give them gas they die. I think they may have some sort of catalytic converter that gets clogged. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Take off the muffler and clean the carbon in the exhaust port. Also check the muffler itself. There may be a screen that is clogged. I have shindawia trimmers and edgers, but there older versions. Mine had a screen at the opening of the muffler I took off so it wouldnt get clogged.

    Hope this helps
