    The 2 cycles are very good. Not the C4 type of hybrid 4 cycles. All the posts on Stihl 4Mix should apply to Shindaiwa C4 engines also. I'll stay with your FS85!!!

    I have a string trimmer that is now semi retired that is over 20 years old, I use it to cut down ornimental grasses now.

    i have a 231. the biggest piece of junk ever made. its had zero power from day one. nothing i've ever done made it more powerful. its got so bad that weeds laugh if i even pick it up to use.

    I dont know about the 4 strokes, I have a blower <super strong> and a string trimmer that are several years old and still operate llike new. I personall think Shindawia makes excellent products.

    i've had shindaiwas since day 1, (4 trimmers, 3 edgers, 3 blowere, and 2 hedgers )never had a problem with any of them. i take good care of my equipment though.

    Great products, I have 231x trimmer, its been my main trimmer for two years with no problems, and a handheld blower that works really good.
