Trimmer will never edge as good as an edger, period. When you edge with a trimmer it shows, and looks like crap. This topic is tired and beat to death on here. I am sure all the scabs that edge with trimmers will chime in.

It's not for you to understand how it's done in Florida. We do it because we have to! This time of year it gets tiresome, especially on big corner lots. If I didn't have to edge every yard every week I wouldn't. Unfortunately, that's the nature of the beast down here.

I've done it both ways and here in Texas you can edge Bermuda, Zoysia, St. Augustine, and Zoysia without a problem. Now if you have an area that has not been edged for several weeks that edger is a great tool.

Are you saying that you get so much growth in a week that you can't edge it with a string trimmer? Or are you saying most guys can't get a clean, straight, and perpendicular edge without a edger? I'll admit there are more guys out there that probably edge poorly with a string trimmer then who do it well. We do high end homes so f'd up edging doesn't cut it here.

Don't even get me started on all the idiots with 7" - 9" trimmer line. You can hear that bogged down trimmer a few blocks away.

i have to agree with justanotherlawnguy. you can't edge with a trimmer period. doesn't matter what type of grass your edging or how much growth your talking about.

i use a stick edger on a weekly basis on every property i service. i could get by with every other week and during the dry season maybe even once a month but it just doesn't look as nice if it's not done every week.

  5. Could you please sell one of those to: "Imagine That Tool Rental" in Wilmington Ohio?
Maybe just pass this lead onto your sales dept.

The edger he has is killing me. I'd pay double to rent a Turf Teq.

Looks like the closest dealer we have to you is Zimmer Tractor in Monroe.,

We don't cold call people for sales, but if you passed our info along to your local rental shop and they gave a call i'm sure we could work something out.
