We have a job tomorrow that requires cutting about 100 ft line in asphalt. Should I use a diamond blade, or buy a 14" abrasive??? Don't want to have to see what works best on site

Use the blade intended for asphalt.

I used a diamond blade the other day to make a 40' cut on asphalt. Worked fine. I would much rather use diamond than go through 5 abrasive discs.

An asphalr blade is a diamond blade. Asphalt is soft so you use a hard bond blade. Similar to green concrete. We use a gen purpose blade 68is bucks each cut concrete asphalt and steel

Don't waste your time with the abrasive blades, you're going to have a sore back by the time you're done. We use a dedicated diamond asphalt blade, but on many occasions cut with regular diamond blades intended for pavers.
