Do any of you that have a sign on your open trailer gate have any thing to share like do's and don'ts. I will be having one made soon with logo and was wanting to know if it is bad ideal for sign to be to big or not.
Its a 5x10 trailer and just wanted to get any input on it.
Any of you have pix of your gates?

Keep it clear & simple. The bigger the sign, the more aerodynamic drag you'll have.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking too. I did not want it to feel like I had a parachute open.

I have a sign on my open trailer. The key to reduction in wind drag is to place it as low as possible with the gate raised. My sign is 2'x4' and I have it 1' from the edge of the gate. It's positioned at eye level for people driving cars and sort of "drafts" behind my mowers.:)

    Heck yeah..........that will get noticed....
What size did you make it?

Your trailer is different than mine but your gate looks just like mine with the 5 angle iron braces. So how did you get it mounted being that the sign had to rest on the braces...

You can just run bolts thru the gates steel mesh and thru the sign. I had a sign on my gate last year and hated it, it made the gate too heavy and made too much drag I think. Signs on the trucks doors are enough in my opinion
