    The way I read it, is an either-or. Either use dustless (i.e. wet) methods to cut, OR provide and enforce the use of approved respiratory protection.

    Either way, workers need training for the hazards they may encounter.

    edit: I'm reading more, and it seems that OSHA wants water spray (and the respirator may be optional), when jackhammering more than 4 hours straight. This is all new to me.

    Yep. So, anyone knows me, knows that I would leave the burden of proof on the 4 hour limit to the investigator! And in the meantime, I tell my employees not to talk to anyone asking questions!
