I currently own and run a Ferris 3100z with a 72" deck. I have a dealer close by that sells Simplicity. I was looking at adding another mower, 52 or 61, and wondered if there would be much difference, if any, on going with a Simplicity? I know the rear suspension set up is a little different and everything seems to be lower (rear bumper, 23 instead of 24" tires on the rear), and on the 61" you are able to see the trim side of the deck on the Simplicity versus the Ferris where you have to lean a little to see over the tank.

I was also curious if a 72" deck cuts better than the others (52, 61). In my years of experience it seems like I get a better cut with a 72. I wasn't sure if this was just in my head or if the larger, heavier blades actually give a better cut.

It looks like their highest end machine the Cobalt is a rebadged Ferris IS2100Z. They really dont seem to have a version of the IS3100. The 2100 is not a bad machine but compared to a 3100 it is definitely a step down.
