Hey gyes quick question, ive got a Case 1840, i'll go out to start it but I get nothing but the buzzing noise, no sound of the starter motor, nothing, I wait 5 to 10 minutes and it start's, I get this more often when I haven't used it for a week or more, I thought about giving the battery connections a clean but I dont see why it would be that seeing's as though I wait a bit then it start's, any ideas?
Remember you have only 12 volts to work with. 12 volts is not enough to arc though dirt or corrosion. It takes every little dirt or corrosion to knock out a 12 volt system. Cleaning the battery terminals and wires (both ends) should always be the first thing you do when you have a starting problem.
Okay i'll give them a clean on the weekend, thanks.
