Slit seeding question

    We have some lawns that had slit seeding done today. Will it harm it if we mow them on Friday?

    yup the seed isnt going to germinate in two days. The tires on your mower will also be closing alot of the slits which means that seed will never see any sunlight and never germinate. Id try to hold off a week on those lawns

    I don't know, that's why I core aerate, don't believe in those inferior methods.

    I'd wait until the seedlings are at least one inch tall...

    You want the seed to be covered with soil, not exposed to the sun. I have no idea where you are or what type of seed this is but if is an established lawn that was slit seeded just keep on mowing it, just make sure the blades are sharp.

    The seed needs sunlight to germinate? Really? All these years I've been doing it wrong,,,,,
