I have 2 acres I am currently removing stumps with my backhoe and fel and cutting more trees as I go. However I am getting to the point of what I am going to do with my sloped yard I would say it drops at least 4 feet from the left side to the right side it is a 175' wide by 569" deep.
I would like to know if anyone has any ideas as how to make the yard more level.
    The way I see it:
Option A Build a wall and get a bunch of dirt
Option B Terrace the yard in steps

I am looking for any and all suggestions and possibly pictures I will try and post some pics tomorrow if I can figure it out.

Thanks for any suggestions or options

Building a retaining wall would probably be your best bet but the cost might be another factor, also terracing the property would be just another way of doing it, depending on what you trying to achieve your best bet is bring a local excavator and ask him for his advice! sometimes they can get the same results as lets say terracing with retaining walls by using soil trucked in and creating gentle rolling hills looks great and might save a few payup ! Good luck hope this helps.
