 hey all, been a rough , slow and hot summer in kansas city. first year has been a rude awakening for us. this hot and dry weather has slowed growth of lawns. what is your suggestion to pick up business this fall . thought about a heavy door to door flyer program , with emphasis on core aeration and overseeding . any ideas would be appreciated............Patriot Lawncare:usflag:

I agree with you. Pound the pavement and get those fliers out. Post your ads anywhere you can. Some folks may just hire you to mow or clean up due to heat.

Yup, I would make a flyer with a little stuff about how aeration helps lawn, bla bla bla, and offer a special if they take multiple services---I have found that knocking on doors and talking to as many people as I can will get me more jobs too.

During very hot weather we sell mulching and small landscaping jobs.

Seems late in the season for new customers with a drought is there any grass to cut, try selling more and new services..
