You guys (persons to nonbinary) I know of. I have a setup I'm trying to come up with. I need a switch that runs 120AC for a set amount of seconds, let's say 5 or so, and then automatically shuts itself off. Any ideas off the top of your head?

2nd question. What is a binary, never heard of this term until a few months ago.

You could think about a timer switch for a stove hood or kitchen ventilation fan. However these are usually set for 1 to 10 minutes.
Bathroom ventilation fans often use a timer switch. Same idea. Switch off after a few minutes automatically.

Flea bay is good for stuff like this, I like the open frame diy type design but more finished products can be found im sure. Look closely and make sure the design, some are timed delayed and some are timed operation.

I need the time to be in seconds, less than 10 so this wouldn't work. But thanks for the idea.

There are misting controllers (for Nurseries and such) that turn valves ON and OFF in seconds and not in minutes. One of these can be rigged to turn a relay to get a 120V signal for few seconds I saw some of these mister controllers here:

Custom built circuits can do what you need with around 20% accuracy in time (5 seconds with +/-1 second accuracy) with a simple resistor and capacitor combination, but then you got to learn to deal with 120V issues which are not very simple sometimes and can turn to a good project if you have time for it.

I personally don't trust any trinkets on different sites out there dealing with 120V, my personal opinion of course.
