While being a bit unhappy with the bouncing on my 54 walkbehind using a zero turn twin wheel velky, with resulting rider fatigue and poor cut, I experiented with new rear wheels and tires.
After a few changes, a smaller rim, 8" and larger tire, 20" turf saver has yield amazing results. I'm now able to mow at over 7 mph, with a better cut than the stock machine at 5 mph. Rider fatigue has disappeared and I've increased my hourly profit by almost 20%.
Knowing the bouncing is a common problem with the Hustler, this modication turns the walkbehind into "Lazer Z killer".........
