Does anyone know of a sod cutting attachment for a compact tractor (JD 4100 - 20hp Diesel) Either for the 3 point hitch or something attached to the bucket (??) I could build one but wanted to see if there were any available on the market. Thanks

Check with commercial sod farms. I believe that is how most of them cut their sod, is with a tractor.

While I have never seen one of these attachments in person, I think they hook up to the 3 point and are run by the PTO. Some have an automatic stacker, some don't.

I don't know if your 4100 would run one, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would. Especially one that just cuts and rolls the sod, no stacking.
