okay i wanted to know what you guys think of my bid for sodding this lawn.the area is 50 X 50 flat.the old grass would need to be killed off plus an old walkway would be removed also.its only 15 x 4.i planned on putting down a 3 inch layer of topsoil. so with the price of supplies and the use of my own equipment i figured between 4 and 4700.is that to high? for some odd reason i think it is.topsoil is 27.50 a yard here.the sod is 30 cents a sqft.the area is 2500 sqft.am i in the right ball park? never installed a lawn this small.

Is that 3 inch layer of topsoil just for the 15X4 "sidewalk area?" Or the whole lawn?

If it is just the sidewalk area, you are little high in my book. Going rates in this area: $.30/sq. ft (including prep/spraying of weeds), $50-65/hr. for the loader work, and topsoil is $10/ton. So that would be in the $1500 neighborhood...
