After finishing last year with 80 monthly invoices to print each month, I am ready to buy some software to assist... What is the best program to do this? I would like a way to customize the invoices a little (offers, etc) Any recommendations anyone?

just my .02 cents i use groundskeeper lite. Good program for the money and it is easy to set-up, figure out and use. You realy cant go wrong with any software though. You can try most of them out for a free demo and i encourage you to do so. Switching to a program to run ur biz is something you will never regret

Check out the Gopher software. I looked it over and am impressed! I just looked at the lawn pro software, it looks fine and dandy, but dosn't put in the service dates on the invoices, plus it dosn't automatically generate invoices either. You have to physically click on each customer each month and put in the # of times you were there that month for each service you provided. Overall it seemed user friendly but had some gaps.

The price difference between the 2 is large though. Like $54 for the lawn pro and $399 for gopher. Gopher is also directly linkable to Quick books pro.

As soon as I get a little more play time I'm going to get the 30 day demo for gopher and see how it would work for me. I wonder, if I key in a number of my customers to it, services, and prices, if I decide to purchace it, will all that info transfer to the paid version? I'd hate to invest a bunck of time ino something like that and then have to do it all over again!

I did a trial of groundskeeper a year or two ago. I really thought it was frustrating. Also looked at lawn monkey, no opinion on that one... Is there enough brands out there????

I use Lawn Monkey which comes from the same maker as Qxpress, Alocet. It does not interact QuickBooks, but has it's own accounting features (I don't use). It however can print invoices and also has a template designer feature which allows you to design your own.
