    I for one don't trust them. There is way too many variables to have it work correctly unless you want to constantly be messing with it. Plus, I think they would be easy to lose or get destroyed in the field.

    It's not even wireless so I guess it would be easy to find. There was something similar in the early 90's that had a plate of steel in the ground, I can't remember the name but they were a waste of money.

    Are ya sure probe isn't wireless? It says can be set up to 1000 ft away. That being said picking a location is another issue in itself. Then add in the fact that the solar sync sucks and one does have to wonder.

    Not wireless, just the max range with 18-gauge wire.
