    Looks like the tree is a maple... maples tend to not like a whole lot of water thats why a lot of maple trees you see have roots that are very shallow. So when the nursery or landscape contractor plants their maples (especially in yards with irrigation) they will plant them high so they dont get to wet.

    The place looks awesome with the new mulch.

    looks great love the black mulch I recently did a big job with all pine nuggets (I cant stand them) but hey its what the customer likes not me.

    Looks nice, the edging looks good and deep. Did you do that by hand or an edger?

    Looks great but I would never dump a load of mulch on a concrete driveway.....always use a tarp under the load for that purpose and never have to worry about staining....plus it's a lot easier to clean-up the last couple yards that way.....:)
