any mower can stripe well with a stripe kit or flap that you show in the picture. not bashing, just pointing out the truth.

saw my first spartan in person the other day in a guy's driveway. if i ever see him out using it i will stop and have a chat with him

What is the brand of radial tires 24x12x12 on these mowers? Do you feel they give a better ride than bias tires? I know this question may have been answered but this is a long thread. What other things do you have to say about them?

I just cut mine. Mostly Bahia have you. Without a striping kit. I’m still going to get one, but would rather have the roller on the deck vs the flap. I think I saw one on eBay for like $300.

Here’s the cut. Pic is maybe 5 minutes old.

24HP Cat Diesel with factory blades, my only real complaint is the Oregon super high lifts are 3” wide vs 2.5” wide on factory blades. They bog the mower down in places to much to my liking. Wish I had about 10 more HP but know how the EPA regulates Diesels. It could be the weed I have growing in my yard as well. I hit it hard less than 48 hours ago. When it all dries out I’ll give the Super high lifts another run, just to see.

I think I saw somewhere they are proprietary to Spartan at least for a period of time, but don’t quote me on that.

I’m looking at mine now and they say z ~ Radial soft ride 24x12 00R 12 NHS. VISI and have a Spartan logo on them.

Would you say they ride better than conventional ? Hold a side hill?

I have a Spartan now and I do feel that they give a little better ride than Bias ply. I still think I like the At101s better

Better at traction, less turf scuffing, side hill holding?

They hold hills great. I prefer it over my step dads brand new Laser Z. He buys a new one every year.

I wouldn't be mowing it if that was the case! :walking:
