I just found out about these in another thread. Found a page that sells them and ordered one. Here is a youtube video of what the head does. No dissassembly at all, you can re line your trimmer in less than 30 seconds. Check it out.
Wish I knew how to upload the video but anyway, Speed-Feed owners speak up and let me know how you like them!
I ordered the smaller 375 for my small redmax tr2350s. After adding this, that thing will be the PERFECT trimmer. Can't wait. Interested to hear from those of you who have been using these a while. $30.45 w/ shipping.
I assume you are talking about the Echo U-Turn? That is what I had on mine and they were working fine until last weekend. The strings on both of them kept breaking at the eyelit, and we were constantly removing the spool, remove the string, and rewind them. We wasted hours doing this. That is why I bought the Speed Feed based on Griffin's post. I can say that taking this one apart to change the bushing, the construction is much more robust than the U-Turn.
About the only negative I can think of thus far is I wish they would have wrapped the line-up arrows around the side so they are easier to see; or put some sort of marker on the side of the wind up plate. I cannot see very well as it is; but I am sure I will figure something out to easily line this up. And all suggestions welcome.
I run edgit's on my machines and can't see the arrows either. I drilled 1/16'' holes on the little lip to aid in aligning everything up.Now I just line the eyelets up with the 1/16" holes and send the string through.
We haven't found the Oregon to be higher and yes I know Shindaiwa will sell you just the bottom head...I was simply giving advice on how to save some money on this forum. That said, not all dealers WILL sell you just the bottom head. It is in their best interest not to sell you parts to the whole, obviously. Good luck.

The Speed-Feed heads will fit on Kawasaki trimmers, but you need to order the Universal model in order to get the right adapter. Kawasaki uses an 8mm x 1.25 left-hand female adapter.
