I just bought a new (leftover model) Toro Z 449 (Model 74413) 48" Turbo Force mower with a 19hp Kawasaki motor. I would like to get Toro's E-Z Vac Soft Bag Collection System that is spindle driven. This is similar to Exmark's Lazer Z UltraVac system and Scag's 3-Bag Grass Collection System.

I heard from one dealer that the 19 hp is underpowered to run the spindle driven grass collection system. Does anyone have one of these spindle driven grass collections systems on their Z mower with a 19 hp Kawasaki?

Looking for someone that has one of these systems on a Z mower with a 19hp that can give me their feedback.

    Thank you!

sounds similar to the trouble i had last fall. bought a bagger syst for my tiger cud with 19 kaw 48 in deck . bagger syst had a belt that ran off the spindle. the 19 kaw did not have enough power to run the bagger. i kept the tiger cub and purchased a wildcat 52 in deck with 26 liquid cool kaw and put the bagger on it no problems. now i can just leave the bagger on the wildcat most of the time. hope this helps.

I don't have the set up that you currently have. But in my experience (gravely) a spindle driven bagger clogs more often and when it does it burns up a belt.

After using a couple different bagging systems I have found the Trac Vac 655 works the best. The garbage cans in back are easy to load and unload. It attaches with ease. Clogging rarely occurs. You'll still have the zero turn ablity. The only draw back is that you have an extra engine to change oil and clean the air filter. Pricing is around 2K depending on which motor you choose.
