I have a 62" SRS deck on my Z mower. What purpose does the to adjustable plates across the front face of the deck serve. I use a Peco bagger and mow at 4" setting. Are these plates to assist with vaccum or lift on the deck? Please explain. Thanks.

You don't reference the TURBOFORCE deck in your email, but I assume since you are asking about adjustable plates you are wondering how it operates differently from your SFS deck, and specifically whether it will improve vacuum when used in conjunction with your PECO blower. If this isn't what you're asking, please forward another email with more detail.

The TURBOFORCE adjustable baffle increases or decreased the distance (gap) between the blade tip and front deck baffle. When placed in the A (wide) position the tip/baffle gap and deck discharge opening is the widest, creating a path to channel clippings out the front of the deck without passing them through each cutting chamber. This setting allows the deck to cut and discharge clippings faster/more efficiently in long, wet grass conditions. NOTE: The A setting most closely approximates the performance of the SFS deck. When the baffle is set in the C (narrow) position the tip/baffle gap and discharge opening is the smallest so clippings pass through each chamber resulting in smaller size clippings and the discharge distance is the greatest. The B middle setting works the best for bagging when using our E-Z Vac blower, but we haven't tested third party accessories like PECO so we can't attest to how well it performs with our TURBOFORCE deck. Hopefully this answered your question.
