st.louis zoysia.....

    when can i put the nitrogen to my zoysia.my shaded areas of coarse are greening up but my large areas of zoysia are just starting to turn.man zoysia sucks,last to green up looks terrible.

    I'm no expert, but have heard it's better not to fertilize zoysia too early...as it's a warm season grass.

    yes i agree thats why im wanting to know when the best time is.....i dont want to hit it to early

    Probably around the end of April, depending on the yearly weather pattern - we are a little behind last year's pace, so that will make a difference in how soon zoysiagrass greens up.

    The thing is, right now a good deal of warm season grasses in Stl are still partially dormant.
