I have a JD 657, and love it. Its fast, safe and manuverable. The cut is good once you change the blades.

The only problem I have with the Deere is the stamped deck. Other then I like the cut.

Personally I would go with a Wright Stander. Im moving from WB's to Wrights next year and Im really looking forward to it.

    I REALLY wanted a Wright
Was within minutes of putting money down
I demoed in all my situations.
The cut was less than good
I then tried a hustler WB with Sulkie
The hustler put the Wright to shame on hills
    and the cut was great.
The only thing I really didn't like about the standars was going up Hills.
    Always thoughtI was going over
    Just .02

I felt that way also the first time I used them. Its more of an illusion though. Just a feeling you need t get used to.

Owner of WRIGHT Sentar and Stander for 3 years. Love the machines. Cut could improve with blade change outs.

    Didn't Deere buy Dane ?
On most side by side comparisons the Wright got higher marks than the Dane.
