All I can say is that if this guy has owned the equipment for ~6 years and only put 340 hours on a ZTR he didn't mow much. The price for all the equipment is very fair. If you have the money, offer $8k, and buy it for $9k if you have to. Good luck with your purchase.

i would offer him 6. i know it sounds low but i've bought out guys accounts and equip. and i know the hours seem low but you don't know if he took care of his stuff. you will always find surprises when buying any type of equipment used. remember that!

Sounds almost too good to be true. Why is he selling it & does he have title?

Hey Bob, I'd buy that equipment, provided it's been taken care of, in a heartbeat.

Meet in a public place with some of your friends. Have all of it in a cashier's check except for several hundred.

Thanks to all for the input. I BOUGHT THE EQUIP LAST SATURDAY! :) and i got him down to $7900!!... definatly excited. I've been really busy this week, and we've had some rain, so i havnt been able to play with it as much as i had hoped. I have done minimal basic lawn work all my life, never been paid for it.... but i have SO much to learn. I'm really grateful for this site, it a huge help.
